The Open House Festival is a London-wide event that opens up and celebrates the city’s built environment. Every year, buildings and other sites across all 33 London boroughs are open to the public, so that Londoners can explore them for free. The 2026 Festival is the 35th edition.
The whole of the Pastures site is part of this year’s event on September 12 and 13: two days filled with FREE activities for all ages and offering a chance to meet some of the people involved in bringing life to Good Shepherd Studios, Our Pastures Community Garden and the Pastures Centre.
There are two extra-special reasons for coming along: this year we also

celebrate four years of Good Shepherd Studios and five years since the Save Our Pastures campaign secured the site from redevelopment.
A special feature is a historical timeline from 1686 to the present day, telling the fascinating story of the Pastures site – involving the daughter of the Governor of the Bank of England, a pioneering Methodist, a ‘lost’ chapel and much more!
