The Pastures Gardening Group is holding a Wassail in the Pastures Community Gardens on the 21st January.
For those that don’t know a Wassail is a traditonal event held to promote a good harvest of fruit trees. It involves singing and toasting of the trees to wake the trees and scare off any evil spirits.
The Gardening Group will be planting some new fruit trees as well as waking up the previously planted ones and need your help in order to get a good harvest. As tradition dicates there will also be some mulled cider served for those wishing to partake. More information is the flyer below

Hi, will there be an alcohol-free alternative to the mulled cider?
By the way, the date on the leaflet is wrong, it should say 2024 not 2023 🙂
Yes, there will be mulled apple juice as well as the cider
